Collection: Part Two: Sandswept
“Why is this dumb city so full of stupid people”
We’re halfway in and halfway funded – if you’re on the fence about getting a copy I’d encourage you to go for it, if only to calm my nerves a bit! Cheers again, everyone.
File under “things you don’t want to overhear your captain saying”.
— The reaction to the Kickstarter has been amazing, thanks everyone!
Let’s make some books!!!
We’re already at over €2,800 a week in, and I’m pretty damn thrilled! I really do appreciate you guys backing the project, it means a lot to me. There’s still three weeks left on the Kickstarter if you’re on the fence about backing it, and a huge thanks to those of you that already did and/or have spread the word!
So I’ve tidied up the website a bit over the last week, but in far more important news:
The Red Moon Rising kickstarter is now live!!
If you’ve been looking to get a print copy of RMR at any point, now’s finally your chance! My publisher, Alephtar Games, is looking to not only see Red Moon Rising in print, but to also create a brand new game book based entirely around RMR’s setting and characters.
There’s a ton of info about the project through on the kickstarter page, but for my part I’d like to say that this is basically a dream project for me. Seeing my comic in print as well as having an opportunity to produce a book about all of the world building I’ve been working on behind the scenes for the last eight years is crazy exciting, and I really hope you guys think so too.
Of particular note to readers, there’s an early bird discount on the print comic for the first couple of days of the kickstarter, so if you’re interested please go for it! And if you have any questions, have at it in the comments here or over on the kickstarter page.
As always, thanks so much to everyone for reading. I really hope we can see this thing in print!
And we’re back! Chapter seven incoming.
— Things are moving along well with the RPG/book project I announced a couple of updates ago! If you guys have any questions about it there’s now an FAQ up on the Alephtar Games website which covers a lot of ground.
Mostly I’m just very excited about this! The kickstarter will be coming up within the next month or so, so stay tuned!
“You’re going to fix this because I said so”
— So!!! I have some good news for those who have been asking if Red Moon Rising will ever be going to print – the answer is yes!
More details will be forthcoming soon, but I’m excited to announce I’ll be teaming up with Italian publisher Alephtar Games to not only see Red Moon Rising published as a graphic novel, but also to put out a second book – an RPG supplement based around the RMR world for their existing Revolution d100 system . I’m pretty damn thrilled about this as it’ll give me an opportunity to show off a lot of the worldbuilding that hasn’t made it into the comic!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with tabletop gaming, this is basically going to be a book full of worldbuilding, lore, art, and all sorts of other bits and bobs related to the Red Moon Rising world – RMR was initially conceived way back in 2007 as a setting for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign that never happened, so to say I’m stoked about this would be a bit of an understatement!
We’ll be crowdfunding soon and I’ll be crowing about it from the rooftops when the time comes, but in the meantime thanks for reading and thanks for your support, it really means the world to me.
