More health-related adventures over here, mainly involving hearing loss, but fortunately they’ve all been wrapped up in a satisfactory manner, so… bam, page!
I’ve started doing the sketches for the page in a manner that’s more like a greyscale underpainting. I’m not sure it’s time-efficient, but I can use it as a base for the backgrounds and the character shading, so I think it’s probably fine. Anyway, you can vote to see it for today’s page.

This page seemed a little different then I read the comment about gray-scale underpainting. It works well that way, with his features and those few other details almost highlighted through color. Nice.

Trust me, if I were doing either of those things I would be dead at least five times over by now. The hearing thing turned out to be not a big deal, but it was pretty distracting and disorientating for a few days, to say the least.

I’ve had ear problems before, including ruptured eardrums. Nothing to make light of since the perceptual distortions including loss of balance and spatial disorientation can make even the simplest tasks challenging. However, it isn’t every day you get the opportunity to experience such a strange environment. New experiences equal new understanding, new ideas!

Damn Rose, that “sketch” of yours is way better than some webcoms I enjoy alltogether. Even uncolored RMR would totally kick ass.
Also, regarding hearing loss… I know it’s kinda lame to use earplugs while shootig but it’s still a good idea, especially with the larger calibers. Also, those signal-flares are horrible for your hearing too…

Agree — the sketch is a damn’ sight better than _many_ full-fledged comics. Agree — even non-coloured RMR would own the world. This is why Rose inspires me on good days.
Incidentally, on bad days Rose makes me want to chuck my tablet into a caldron of bubbling lava. And watch it burn.
But that’s beside the point. This is about Rose exuding pure awesomeness even after an unscheduled hiatus. Like, who settles this quickly back into excellence, right? Keep it up.
