Edit: Sorry about the no update – my internet’s gone down, and it turns out doing a webcomic doesn’t work too well when you have no web. I’m updating from a benevolent person’s phone right now (thanks Craig) but the connection is down indefinitely. Will try and figure out something before Monday’s update. 🙁
I had schnitzel for the first time this weekend. It is pretty good! Good job New Zealand for introducing me to Austrian cuisine. Also, I hope the colours are ok on this page since I had to spend most of the time colouring it with a towel over my head to reduce the screen glare. They have this thing called “sunlight” here and I’m finding it most disconcerting.

Aha, mysterious communications. Or dodgy AM radio reception.

Ahh yes, sunlight, the scourge of Scotland. I mean, I’m only 1/2 Scottish and the sun is my enemy. Pasty skin and red hair… I’ll stick to the shade. The UV’s down there must be awful. What do you use, spf 90?

Hey, I’m from Austria. Schlnitzel for the first time in New Zealand??? You should come over here some day and get a taste of the original.
I really like your comic btw, keep up the great work!

Lol, but those are the best kinds of secrets!

Is it just me, or does the radio transmission type look like Russian?

I dunno, it doesn’t exactly look blocky enough for cyrillic writing. Does have greek symbols somewhere in it though.
…What’s the point in selling them military secrets if they don’r know what secret the’ve been sold? Or were they sold to higher-ups in the organisation, or something?

Well, if you don’t like sunlight, you could always go to southland. That’s where a lot of the NZ Scots actually migrated, you know. Gave places funny names like ’Invercargill’ and ’Dunedin’. And it’s as cold and miuserable as you could possible hope for, in the winter. Cold and miserable sans domestic weatherproofing, too.
As for the UV: Nah, just a little sunblock and a really tough attitude. The UV is bad, but not so bad – the ozone hole is technically over antarctica, not here. It’s just very close, is all.

It’s almost like they woke up one day and thought, “Huh. I think I’ll infiltrate the military, organize a resistance, and try to overthrow all forms of government today.”
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course. I do it every morning…

Sunlight screen glare, my eternal enemy! Don’t worry- I’ve almost completed my latest diabolical invention: The Sun Putter-Outer. Soon, so soon, it will won’t be a problem any more.

Just found your lovely, lovely comic! The artwork is brilliant and the colors are diiiivine. The only thing I’m left wondering about is Ashul’s military – it’s not divided into an army, a navy, etc, then? It struck me as weird that a colonel would be on a ship.

Is it just me or does the arm in panel 4 look a bit.. wrong?
Could be my faulty perception of proportions as well >.<
Anyways… I thin they are with-holding some information there.
*let#s steal some random military secrets, and pay someone we hardly know for it.
Yeah, not likely.
nicheck
am i imagining things or did they use to have outlines on the bridge of their noses?
…maybe you could email some of your sunlight over to europe – it’s starting to get cold…
