Something sort of amusing I realised with the help of a friend just yesterday was that RMR has almost completely descended into talking heads over the last 20 pages or so. There’s always been quite a lot of talking in the comic and I’m pretty unapologetic about that, but the amount of bust shots recently has just been amusingly ridiculous. It’s as if the world doesn’t exist below the characters’ mid-chest region, which is a sort of funny concept, but not really too workable in the long-term. I guess I’ve just been getting all lazy with the layouts. Sorry about that! Will try harder next chapter.

I’ve been meaning to comment about the “talking-heads-syndrome”, but the problem is that you’re so ridiculously good at drawing faces that I just forget about it… Actually the hole chapter has been mostly faces. Personally I don’t mind talkiness as it’s been great to see how the threads come together, but if you’re unable (or unwilling) to blow crazy action scenes on our faces, I’d suggest you try to do bit more of those beautiful landscapes that you’re also wonderfully talented in.
