Red Moon Rising is going to be updating every week day throughout June. Good times, blame Nanomango.
I won’t be updating the vote incentive every update, I think that’d do my head in. It should change at least weekly, though. For now, the new vote incentive is a small preview of the next page. Which will be going up tomorrow. Cripes.

So much for updating in a timely fashion. 😐 Still, timezones to my rescue – it’s still a pretty early Monday update for most people, I think. For some reason I just couldn’t get past the thumbnail stage for ages, and the stupid thing is that I settled on a really simple panel layout in the end. There’s a new vote incentive too, a sort of half-finished speedpaint landscape thing.
Anyway! Page 60*! Baconnaise! *party popper*
Of course, I don’t actually have the Baconnaise yet, more of an IOU for Baconnaise. But I’ll get it eventually – I’ve earned it! Great success!

Kids say the darndest things.
Man, you guys really hustled on the voting! You’re all awesome. There’s a new vote incentive up now, as promised. It’s a fairly simple, quick painting of one of Ashul’s streets, continuing the old-school photography theme, sort of. Either way, it was a good excuse for me to paint some buildings.
Also, the ads are back. I’m sure you’re all thrilled. Hopefully I can get back to a more prompt update schedule starting on Monday, the updates this week all slipped to pretty late in the day after the whole mess with the site at the weekend.
Aw yeah. Day off tomorrow. Brilliant.
The voting over at TWC reset for the new month, so if you ever felt like voting for me, now would be a good time to do so and I’d really appreciate it. I’d like to try and make a concerted effort to break in to the top 100 this month since Red Moon Rising’s been hovering about the 110-120 mark for most of May and June. Plus it’d be neat to be on the front page. Like being a celebrity, except not. Anyway, go vote! The incentive hasn’t changed today, but I should have something new for the Friday update.
That’s it! Last update of June! It’s nearly 7pm on the 30th here, which makes this my latest update evar, but I think I’m ok with that, all things considered. 22 pages done this month, I hope you all enjoyed the barrage of updates. 🙂 The whole updating-every-week-day-for-a-month thing was interesting, and thoroughly exhausting, not to mention the stress of “o hay, your website’s gone” towards the end there. At any rate, I’m glad I did it, and proud that I managed to stick with it all the way through. Plus I essentially doubled my archive size in a month, that’s pretty cool.
Anyway, starting as of July 1st Red Moon Rising will be switching to a Monday/Wednesday/Friday update schedule. As far as this week goes, that means another page tomorrow, then I’m going to spend all of Thursday sleeping, I expect. Then another page on Friday. Still a nice brisk pace, I reckon.
Ok, let’s see how this new site works. Go comic, go!
Today’s update is many, many hours later than I would have preferred, but considering there was a point during the weekend where I didn’t think I was going to even have a site for another week, I think we can all deal with it. Besides, it’s still Monday (5pm in my timezone) – despite being late, the page is still, strangely, on time.

Page 55*! Which, funnily enough, marks Red Moon Rising’s five month anniversary. Whoo! *party popper* Averaging eleven pages a month is pretty good, I reckon. Also, it’s only five pages until Baconnaise Day. Maybe I should start a countdown.
More interiors, which I can’t say are my favourite thing to draw. Before I started Red Moon Rising I pretty much just drew people posing in front of cityscapes or mountains, which is essentially where my artistic happy place is. I find interiors reaallly difficult and dull. I suppose maybe I just need to work on them more.

Wowww, this page kicked my arse. I just couldn’t stop painting the temple in the first panel. Hopefully it was worth it, though. On the downside, my tablet’s on the blink again, if I have to finish the rest of this week’s pages with a mouse I’m going to kill something, I swear.
