Holy smokes! A cover page! Sorry if people were expecting a proper comic page, but I keep slacking on doing covers for the chapters – six chapters finished and I’ve this is only the second one I’ve done. I’ll go back and do covers for the rest at some point in the future, but from now on I plan to keep on top of them as they come up.

I like that you don’t have chapter names. I can now spend hours(okay minutes i’m lazy) deciphering what the next chapter will be about by looking at the artwork, which is the main focus of a comic in the first place. Keep up the good work!!

Yeah, I’ve been chewing my nails trying to decide whether or not to have chapter names, but the fact that I haven’t come up with any names for them that weren’t either bland, dumb or redundant pretty much made up my mind for me. At least it means I can do cover pages without having that to worry about now. Thanks!

Actually, if we’re including cover pages, this was the 100th update! But page wise, the next update is 99, so page 100 will be next Wednesday.

Got linked here by another fine comic named The Meek, read the archives, and smiled. Slightly tricky to get the hang of the universe/politics/internals of this comic, but it’s definitely going on my reading list. I’m damn curious to see more about the practicalities and legalities of magic, here.

I don’t blame you there, I’m thinking I should start some sort of compendium on the site to lay out the bittier details of the politics and history on which the comic’s based since it’s a fairly large part of the story and my aversion to info-dumps means it’s not especially clear a lot of the time.

Being a horrendously slow-working webcomic artist myself, it felt a little like someone rubbing a fistful of sand in my face when I read that you can finish one of THESE pages in four hours. =D

Haha, sorry. I don’t consider myself a particularly speedy artist, but sometimes I can get a page done quickly. 🙂 Usually it’s more like eight hours, though, depending on the panel count.
