  1. Erm… Huh? Who is that random guy? Have we met him, even? Jeesh.
I like how she’s so collected. I’ve never been in such situation, but I imagine it’s a lot of stress.
    Beautiful colours as usually!

  2. PLOT TWIST
    “I’m sorry, what?”

Definitely, did not expect that! Love it!
Does this mean that Danil isn’t dead and used a “substitute corpse” instead?
If so, things are gonna get very, very, VERY interesting!

    1. BTW, the corpse’s hollow black eyes make him look like a dummy, kinda creeps me out.

  3. Well, so much for our beloved sniper Braken. Doesn’t mean that the colonel survived though.

    1. Wait wait wait, you think that’s Bracken? I can’t really tell who it’s supposed to be (if it is supposed to be someone we know and not just a random unfortunate dude) because of the angle and low lighting, but if it is him I have so many questions. Why would they think someone who knew Danil and worked with him would mistake this guy for him? (That question stands either way.) Why would they use Bracken and not some other guy who looked more like the colonel? Would Samara recognize Bracken from their very deep moment of understanding (sarcasm) way back in Chapter 12?
What’s going on Rose we need answers

      1. I don’t think it’s Bracken. Bracken wears an X-shaped strap across his chest, and is part of the resistance. That dude is wearing the military insignia on that arm band on his right arm. Though, there is always the possibility.

    2. Unless it’s an “Oh, my mistake, we picked up an insurgent earlier today, the REAL corpse is over here” thing. In which case nooooooooooooo Brackeeeeenn

  4. Next question; if this isn’t Danil, then who is it?

    1. I thought for certain-sure it was Lethe at first glance. Which would make a certain amount of sense? He would have been the other foreign corpse at the fight-scene. Confusion could happen. (Though presumably they have records of him getting picked up at the border, etc., so I think on the whole I lean towards the theory that someone [read:Ezius] is playing headgames.)

But… no one else in the comments seems to think it’s Lethe, so now I’m second-guessing myself.

I’m pretty sure it’s not Bracken, though.

  5. Hmmm, how much of a fight is it going to take for Samara to get out of here alive? The guy who lead her here seems… off…

    1. You mean the convoy or Triarch Ezius?
Anyway, I think you meant Ezius.
I once thought of this whole thing as a trap, but the Triarch just seems so neutral toward both Saiamar and Samara. It would be awesome though, to see how it all turns out.
Still, I wonder how Rose will pull it off.

  6. Soooo, obviously the Triarch would know this isn’t Danil…because this is the guy who attacked Lethe at the train station when Saiamar was wounded. Clever way to get the upper hand diplomatically. “Oh, what do you MEAN this isn’t your Colonel…why would ANOTHER of your soldiers be here? Did I mention this dead Ashulian soldier attacked our ambassador?” Smooth, Triarch, real smooth. ^_^

    1. Oh, I like this theory, except that Rose said a month had passed between arcs, and I doubt the assassin would still look this good. But if they used some sort of freezing system, it would be a really cool way to tie in a smaller detail I wasn’t expecting to see much of again.

    2. ….Huh. The clothes/general appearance certainly match; I think you’re onto something!

    3. We have a winner!

      1. This page made Triarch my new favorite character, methinks.
