Back to this old chugger. When we last saw it, it was a bit on fire.

Another long delay, sorry about that. It was mostly due to me not wanting to wreck my hand again, but also the fact that this was a big, challenging spread to paint. I don’t think I realised how long it was going to take when I started, but it’s done now and I guess that’s the main thing! Hope you guys like it.

  1. This is just fucking gorgeous. Worth the wait.

  2. This. This is just breathtakingly amazing.

    ( *gasp* )

  3. This is gorgeous! How are you going to split them up if/when you make a book?

    1. I have no idea!

      1. Widen it to a panorama! :p

  4. This is absolutely breathtaking. I’ll patiently wait if I get pages like this one out of it.

  5. I agree with everyone, this is gorgeous. Especially the sunrise/set.

Now that we’re back here, I can’t help but wonder how badly damaged it is, as we never really got a good look at it. But looks pretty burned.

  6. Uuhm… looks awesome but will it fit on a page once you make a book of it? By the feel of it, that’s like two A4 pages on the long sides…

  7. Awesome!

*Obviously*, if it’s in a book, she would make it a pop-up fold-out deal, like Eric Carle’s “Papa get the moon for me”.

  8. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful cityscape in a comic, ever. And the arrangement–sky, sunrise, city, docks, as you scroll down–is wonderfully evocative. Bravo.

  9. A new month on TWC! People, VOTE!!

    1. Welcome to the top ten on TWC. At least, until our ´murrican friends wake up… ;-))

      1. In the top 50 now, which is better than it has been the last few weeks. 😀

PS: Rose- Ezius vote incentive? I completely forgot about it until now.

        1. Exactly.
I made some fun in voting for my half-dozen or so favourite webcomics in the first hours of the new voting period (Yes, it was a slow day at work – how´d ya guess?). It was fun to see all of them in the top20. >:-))
          Here, have some screenshots:

Oh, and yes – vote incentives! New vote incentives! Rose, pleeeeeeease!

  10. Very nice. I do love your cityscapes. Also, hurray for the comic updating and your hand not being wrecked! 🙂

  11. Yes, amazing.

  12. Beautiful landscape, but… Many of those buildings are ruins 🙁

    1. Looks very much like Chicago…

  13. hi
thanks for the story (just caught up…, seems like the perfect moment for that^^)

  14. GOOOO ROOOOOSSEEEEE 8D

Ahhhh this reminds me of the nights I spent in Denver this past summer, by the mountains. Every night was absolutely sublime, and your painting brings it all back to me. Not that you don’t know this already, but this page is amaaaazing. Maybe when you make the book, you can make this a poster that comes with the book, and then in the book itself this page is sort of downsized/somehow made to fit? I dunnooooo

  15. This is one of the more beautiful drawings of yours that I have yet seen. I only wish that you were available for cover art work as I still need a cover for my book.

Keep up the quality and watch the health. I know, easier said than done 😉 At least, you’re young and it’ll be easier to follow through on that 😉

    1. Thank you. 🙂 That’s all good advice, I’m trying pretty hard to stay healthy right now. Being ill sucks.

And as for book covers, I don’t know if you’re serious but that’s actually my main source of income at the moment. If you like, feel free to email me and we can talk rates.

  16. Hilarious! Thanks for the new vote-bait, Rose!

    1. Yesssyesyessss 😀 Choked on my dinner as I scrolled through

      1. Oh, I think that went up a day early! It was supposed to go up with tomorrow’s update. Anyway, it was actually all done by Ink, so all thanks and hilarity should be directed towards her. 🙂
